St. Patrick's parents are a close-knit, organized, active parent community that comes together for a wide variety of reasons including helping teachers with special projects, volunteering for community service projects, and organizing intimate as well as large social gatherings, but perhaps their most important role is in welcoming new families to the school. Often parents choose a school and find a community, and this is the place where lifelong family friendships begin. Having the help and support of other parents can ease the transition to a new city, neighborhood or school.
